The Q Revo is a great option if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It has a great mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment built into the charging base. The robot will learn your cleaning habits, and recommend automatic schedules to give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is in place, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button press. You can choose the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do and can clean up pet hair without difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets however iRobot promises that the next models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, best robot vacuum and mop combo flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum mop cleaner robot settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. Its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than the vibrating pads.

The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch television without getting distracted. If it encounters the wall or a furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and moves along.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and also washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something needs attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create or merge rooms to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's clutter that needs to be cleaned out frequently, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it to.

Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean 1,500 square feet in a single charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty it when needed.

The circular menu located in the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will bring up the settings menu of the app where you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of debris from our test on the hard floor and removing all but the most stubborn juice stains.
